Hi everybody, it’s Karen from the Real Estate Task Force, busy preparing my remarks for this weekend’s General Meeting and I hope you’ll join us there to hear more about the status of construction at 473 Oakwood. Until then, here’s a little tidbit: there’s a video of People and Stuff at 473 from my visit earlier this week. See you soon!
Xueying: Hi I’m Xueying from LGA, the artchitect on this project, working with Jason.
Karen: And what do you do on this project?
Xueying: So, I’m doing like site reviews, and review samples and mockups for this project, trying to make sure everything meets our design intent, and make sure the building looks exactly as we designed.
Karen: Great, thank you!
Xueying: No problem.
Karen: Hey everybody, it’s October 22nd, and I’m at our site at 473 Oakwood. I’m standing in the long hallway that heads from the east side of the building, behind me, to the west on Oakwood Avenue. But what’s exciting is that now, I can walk out this back door, and start to see our new east hall taking shape.
So we now have a floor out here, we’ve got big windows that are at the side and they’re gonna be all along the back, bringing tons of light into this unique space with the waffle ceiling, waiting for us to use it and for a tenant to do something exciting back here during the week.
So this is a huge part of our development, this is a huge part of our dream, I’m so happy to see it taking shape.
