As part of our ministerial transition and moving into our new home, we are looking at our Mission and Vision statements to be sure they speak to us and to others in a way that truly represents FirstU in its new context.

During January and February 2025, small groups discussed these questions:

• “For what purpose does FirstU exist as a religious community? What is our UU faith calling us to do in the world?”
• “What are the assets/resources of First U that we could use in service of our religious purpose?”

Thanks to all who participated in small group discussions about FirstU’s purpose and resources.  A wide range of thoughts were shared and a lot of common themes arose. The Transition Task Force will bring the themes and new questions to a congregational conversation for the next step in this process.
