Congregational Meeting – May 2026

Notice of Spring Congregational Meeting on May 31, 2026

You are invited to join the Congregation’s Spring Congregational Meeting on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm.

This meeting will be in person at 473 Oakwood Ave. Toronto ON, and online (Registration link to be sent). To vote in the meeting, you must be a member of the congregation and have made an identifiable financial contribution of any amount to operating expenses in the last 12 months.

Registration will begin at noon; the meeting will start at 12:30 pm

Read the Annual Report. Read the other meeting materials.

The main business of the meeting will be to approve the Budget for our next fiscal year, minor updates to the by-laws, and new members to the Board and Nominating Committee; other general updates will also be shared. Meeting materials will be shared next week.

Please bring your own snack to enjoy before the meeting. You are welcome to use the microwave or kitchen equipment. As usual, cookies and coffee will be provided.

Who Can Vote?

According to our by-laws, at least 10% percent of the members of the congregation who are eligible voters must be present at the meeting in order to hold the vote.

A member is eligible to vote if the member:

  • is 14 years of age or older,
  • has been approved by the Board,
  • has signed the membership roll in the presence of the minister or president,
  • has been a member for at least 45 days before the date of the meeting to vote,
  • has made an identifiable financial contribution in support of the budget in the immediately preceding 12 months. (Donations made in loose cash or by tap machine are not identifiable financial contributions.)

Other people are very welcome to attend as non-voting observers.
