Sermon by Shawn Newton.
The vast majority of Unitarians come to our tradition from another religious background (and, increasingly, from no religious background). For those of us who’ve “come in,” we have made this “our chosen faith.” Often, though, we come with baggage in the form of complicated and unresolved feelings about the earlier stops on our spiritual journey. In the service this week, Rev. Shawn will invite us to consider how making peace with our religious past is an important step on the path to spiritual maturity as Unitarians.
