Life lessons and reminders come to us in the most unexpected places: recently for me, this was a video game. It wasn’t one filled with action or even comparable to Mario Bros which I played as a child (on the original Nintendo might I add), but one where the central message was to slow down and be in the moment. I had planned to use the game as a distraction and instead, it invited me into mindfulness.

How do we know we are present with all that is our lives? For this, I turn to the work of Dr. Richard Schwartz and his work on Self-leadership. I look forward to sharing with you some of his insights through which we come to better understand the sacredness inherent in our beings.
