Sermon by Lynn Harrison.
On Sunday May 14th, when many celebrate Mother’s Day, we’re invited to reflect on how the words “mother” and “matter” are connected in ways that allow us to affirm our mattering–no matter what our relationship to biological mothering. Each of us matters in the family of earth, and our presence and actions make a difference in the well-being of all. We’ll celebrate “matterhood” with original music, poetry, and a special video featuring John Cummings as he cleans up the Cedarvale Ravine. Margaret Kohr will be our Worship Leader, Liz Galarneau will offer a testimony, and Helen Iacovino will bring us news from the life of the congregation. All are welcome to attend this service of beauty, meaning and mattering.
