Flower Communion

Flower Communion Bouquet

This Sunday, we will mark the 100th anniversary, to the day, of the original Flower Communion Service, first held in Prague. Rev. Lynn will lead us through this beloved ritual, and I’ll offer reflections on the flower ceremony’s historic and evolving meaning. The choir will be singing Colin Britt’s beautiful “As There Are Flowers”.

For those joining us in person, if possible, please bring a flower (or two!) to contribute to our shared bouquet. If you are unable to bring a flower, know that we’ll have flowers on hand for the ritual. And for those participating on Zoom, you will be invited to share your flower virtually on camera, if you like. Following the service, we will gather for a Congregational Meeting.
