When considering the topic of Awakening I think of being roused out of sleep, to be jolted out of inactivity, perhaps even being alerted to the threats of nearby wildfires. However, Parker Palmer speaks of the idea of witnessing the wild animal of your soul, only by sitting still, quietly, together in the woods, in hopes of sneaking a peek at our shy souls. I have been practising sitting still and witnessing a lot these last 2 weeks. Join me this Sunday as we explore the possibilities of awakening to stillness.
