Sermon by Shawn Newton.
As Unitarian Universalists, we often take pride in our aversion to proselytizing. But why is that? And is our aversion something to actually be proud of? Sermon Spoiler Alert: I don’t think so!
On Sunday, we’ll explore what it means to share the good news of Unitarian Universalism. In my reflection, I’ll be speaking about why it’s important that we live our faith out loud, especially in these complicated times. Dallas Bergen and Adé Adeyemi, the core of our communications team, will join us to reflect together on how we, as a congregation, are gearing up to do this more intentionally through social media. Dallas and Gaby Byrnes and Michele Ross will lead music for the service. And Maya Ferguson Klinowski will serve as worship leader, bringing a special meditation to honour Mother’s Day.
Enjoy these (finally!) warming days!
In faith and love,
Shawn
