The First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto warmly invites you to come see the newly renovated building and community space at 473 Oakwood on Saturday, October 3rd from 1-4pm.

Over the past several years, we have worked to build a welcoming, accessible space for people to connect, explore, and learn. Our Open House is completely free and has something for everyone—from fun family activities, to engaging discussion, snacks, and relaxing experiences.

Event Highlights

Throughout the afternoon, visitors can see the building and enjoy a variety of drop-in activities:

• Refreshments & Treats: Homemade cookies, popcorn, and tea and coffee available for all.
• Family Fun & Crafts: Interactive crafts, storytime, and corn hole, for children and families.
• Rest & Relaxation: Chair yoga and space for candle lighting and quiet reflection.
• Meet us: No pressure information about the Unitarian Universalism faith, congregation events, community groups, and facility rental spaces.

Scheduled Activities & Speaker Sessions

• 1:00 pm – Opening Ceremony: Rev. Alex leads a brief welcome.
• 1:15 pm – Choral Singing Session: A relaxed group singing session —no experience needed!
• 2:15 pm – “Rest & Reset: Spiritual Practices 101”: Workshop with Rev. Alex
• 3:15 pm – “Friendship and Community Building”: With Guest Speaker Tanya Cothran.
