Meet With A Lay Minister; Ask For Help During A Time Of Struggle

Pastoral Care

You are not alone. In times of stress, confusion or any type of struggle, a listening ear is here for you.

Our Ministers and Lay Minister team work together to coordinate care for members in need. They can also refer you to other professionals if more intensive support is needed.

Lay Ministers are specially trained and commissioned volunteer members who extend the ministry of the congregation by creating a safe space for deep listening and reflection by any member or friend who requests support. Lay Ministers can assist you in your personal discernment and growth by offering confidential, compassionate listening and non-judgmental presence.

In addition to various lived experiences, the dedicated members of our Lay Pastor team have backgrounds in social work and theology and extensive training in pastoral care. To arrange a meeting, you may contact them directly at their phone numbers listed in the Congregational Directory (available to members and friends only) or by email at these links:

After many years of service as a Lay Pastor, Allan Brand now supports the team as Lay Pastor Emeritus.

If you are a member or friend, you can request access to the congregational directory at Directory@nullFirstUnitarianToronto.org.
