Book A Lay Chaplain For A Wedding, Memorial Or Other Rite of Passage

Arrange a memorial, wedding, child dedication or other rite of passage

As Unitarians we believe in the ongoing search for meaning in our lives. In this spirit, we offer customized ceremonies to mark life’s major events while reflecting and honouring celebrants’ values and beliefs:

  • Weddings, Vow Renewals
  • Memorials, Graveside Services
  • Child Naming and Dedications
  • Coming-Out Ceremonies
  • Other Blessings
  • If you are a member of this congregation, you are invited to speak with one of our Ministers to arrange a ceremony.

If you are not a member, one of our Lay Chaplains would be delighted to work with you on a ceremony. Lay Chaplains are members of our congregation who have been selected carefully, trained to design and lead beautiful ceremonies, and licensed to perform weddings in Ontario. They will meet with you to design a ceremony which reflects your values and personal spirituality.

You can arrange your ceremony at any location of your choice, including our sanctuary, a private home or institution, public or private halls, or gardens and other outdoor sites.

For information about arranging services with one of our Lay Chaplains please visit our First Unitarian Toronto Officiants website.
