Non-Violent Civil Disobedience Or Non-Civil Obedience? (7:00 pm)

NON-VIOLENT CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE OR NON-CIVIL OBEDIENCE? WHAT STRATEGIES WORK?

In 2000, indicted war criminal Slobodan Milosevic fought to hold power with a battle-hardened army, a tough police force and most of the news media; but he underestimated the student movement, Otpor! (Serbian for “Resistance”), who attacked the regime with ridicule, rock music and a willingness to be arrested. How did they so undermine police and army loyalty to the regime that they brought it down?

How can we, the 99%, apply their strategies to today’s struggle for equity?

This event is the 4th in a series.  Free.  All welcome.
