A Welcome From Our Senior Minister

The Dinner Series is a tradition at First Unitarian. It’s a win-win-win event:

  • It offers members and friends an opportunity to practice radical hospitality by hosting a meal or other event in their home.
  • It offers guests the chance to meet new people over a good meal.
  • It raises money for the Congregation.

Hosts decide the kind of meal*, the date, how many people can come, and the cost to guests, usually $25 to $50 per person. Pick a theme or keep it simple. It’s up to you.

(*It doesn’t have to be a dinner, but could be a lunch, brunch, afternoon tea, BBQ, picnic, or whatever you choose.)

We are currently seeking people who can host a dinner/event for four or more people in their home between April and June.

In mid-March, we will issue a catalogue of available dinners and begin to sign up guests. Hosts don’t have to find their own guests; I will sign them up and collect the money. Hosts can receive tax receipts for their expenses.
